1 Bike. no plan

Sleeping in Walmart parking lots, showering at planet fitness, camping at state parks, and eating mcdonald dinners all on his trusty honda…. This Is Glenn, a 22 yr dude on a cross country motorcycle trek.

.

I’m writing this in the same coffee shop where I overheard him telling his story. It started after graduating college in Madison, Wisconsin, he trekked way west to the PNW, then as far south as Corpus Christi,Texas where he met some estranged weirdo with a camera( me).

.

3 months - 1 bike - 1 tent …. Absolute sicko

.

Anyone who knows me understands I couldn’t just let this guy walk by. I quickly introduced myself which led to a few coffees, lunch and some photos. I interviewed Glenn purely out of selfish curiosity. He told me stories of his sports bike history (top speed 172 on a R6), crashes, his childhood, his experiences on this journey, mental health struggles, cops…lots of cops lol, day trade stock market, first generation Chinese immigrant, the flow state and flirting with death on bikes making him feel alive. After a few days, Glenn said goodbye to pursue his travels to south Florida. It struck me because I was just there for the funeral of the ultimate traveller. My friend Eytan not only traveled the uncharted territory of the Atlantic, but the territory deep within his soul. Meeting Glenn was a sign from Eytan to embark on my own journey( I feel it coming). I did what Eytan would do and helped Glenn in any way I possibly could.

.

As you take in these images I invite you to step outside of yourself for a moment.. Be curious as to what a journey like this might look, and feel like. I now encourage you to embark on a trek of your own.

.

God bless Glenn and all of those who desire to feel the wind hit their face on two wheels.

Save a life and remember to ….

-check twice for bikes at intersections

-watch for sudden lane changes

-don’t text and drive

-check blind spots
